MDT-101 - Medical Transcription 1 (3 credits)
Prerequisite(s):
PREREQUISITE: ALH140 or a keyboarding speed of 40 wpm
A course in transcribing medical reports and correspondence. Various types of medical copy including case histories, X-ray reports, pathology reports, medical records, manuscripts, and medical office correspondence are studied. Included is instruction on the correct forms to be utilized in transcribing medical reports. This course requires a per credit health career fee; check the tuition and fee schedule for the current rate.
