The Honorable William R. Robinson is a member of Allegheny County Council representing District 10, which encompasses areas of the Hill District, Oakland, Bloomfield, the East End Mall, Highland Park, East Liberty, Homewood and Wilkinsburg. Mr. Robinson serves as the chair of the Allegheny County Council Budget and Finance Committee. He is the president and chief executive officer of Bill Robinson & Associates, a public policy and political consulting firm. Mr. Robinson formerly served as a state representative in Pennsylvania for 14 years and was a member of Pittsburgh City Council for eight years.

Mr. Robinson is a member of the boards of the CCAC Educational Foundation and the Parental Stress Center. He is a founding member and trustee of the POISE Foundation, a community-based organization dedicated to developing and enhancing the participation of African American philanthropists in the economic and social development of western Pennsylvania and a life member of the NAACP Pittsburgh branch. Mr. Robinson is a former adjunct professor at the CCAC Homewood-Brushton center, where he taught African American History and African History; he has also taught courses in political science at Duquesne University and the University of Pittsburgh. He is currently an adjunct assistant professor of political science at the School for Social Change at Carlow University. Mr. Robinson is the recipient of numerous awards, including the Byrd Brown/K. Leroy Irvis Public Service Award in 2007. He holds a Master of Arts in political science from Duquesne University and a Bachelor of Arts in political science from The Ohio State University. Mr. Robinson became a member of the CCAC Board of Trustees in April 1997 and his term lasts through April 2009.
