CCAC Placement Tests

Since CCAC is an open-admissions institution, college entrance examinations (such as the SAT) are not required for admission. In order to evaluate your educational background, CCAC administers placement tests. These tests are designed to help you and the College determine which courses are most appropriate for you.

Although you cannot fail these tests, you should try to do your best – The results will determine where you will begin your studies at CCAC. In some cases, you may be exempted from some or all of the placement tests.

You can schedule your appointment to test once you have submitted your application for admission and your high school and college transcripts if applicable. The placement tests are offered at most CCAC locations and are completed using a computer. You must bring a photo ID to your test.
