The mission of the Student Government is to discover the needs, concerns, and ideas of the student body and then, having implemented solutions, encourage future growth and facilitate learning.

Applications and petitions are available in the Office of Student Life in the Lower Level of the West Hall. The qualifications for Student Government are:
- You must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher (waived if you are a first semester student).
- You must have Tuesdays, from 12:30–2:00 p.m. free to attend meetings.
