What does TBA mean on my schedule and what do I do?

TBA stands for "to be announced." To find TBA rooms, ask the staff at our campus information desks (at Allegheny Campus, on the first floor of the Student Service Center; at Boyce Campus, in South Wing, Level 5; at South Campus, in the front of the B building, next to the security desk) or at North Campus, follow the posted signs.

You can also view maps of our Campuses and Centers online.

I lost my schedule, what do I do?

Go to the Registration office with your photo ID (Driver's License) or valid Student ID card. A copy of your class schedule will be printed for you.

Should I buy my books before I start class?

As a rule, we do not recommend that you purchase your books until after you attend the first class session. Your instructor will confirm which textbook is being used for your class.

Should I buy a used book from a friend?

Not until you are absolutely sure that the book is the correct one for your class. Many times, editions of a book include new or different text. Don't get stuck with a book that you paid for and cannot use for you class.

Where do I park?

Whether you need a permit or not, you are strongly encouraged to register your vehicle with Campus Security. In the unlikely event of a mishap in the parking lot—or if you leave you headlights on—Campus Security can help if they know how to reach you.

Arrive on campus early to obtain the best parking spaces as parking is first come, first served. The first few weeks of class are normally the most hectic in the parking lots, so plan to arrive early during this time so that you are not late for class.

How do I find my classrooms?

At Allegheny Campus, we have student tours at student orientation at the beginning of each semester. For more information, ask for help the information desk.

At Boyce, all rooms and offices are "numbered" with one letter and three subsequent numbers, for example, S581. The letter indicates the wing of the building where the room is located, N=North, S=South and W=West. The first number to the left of the letter is the level or floor number and the remaining two numbers are the room number. In our example, the room S581 is located in the South Wing on Level 5 in room 81. If you wish, ask at the information booth for a map of the building, which contains floor diagrams and room numbers throughout the facility.

At North Campus, it is very easy to find classrooms. As you walk into the building, all ckassrooms are on your right.

At South Campus, classrooms are spread out between buildings. Most classrooms are located in the G and L wings of the D building.

You can also view maps of our Campuses and Centers online.
