CCAC's CIT department is a member of the Microsoft Developer Network Academic Alliance (MSDNAA), which allows students enrolled in CIT classes to download certain Microsoft software titles and install them on their home computer free of charge. The name of the program is Dream Spark. The intent of the program is to make certain Microsoft products more accessible to CCAC students in pursuit of their CIT academic studies. The Dream Spark agreement covers various system software and other related software applications. It does not cover certain Office applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Currently there are 152 titles available.
At the beginning of each semester the IT department at CCAC will generate a list of academic email addresses of all students enrolled in CIT courses. Only students in CIT courses are eligible. Students can then go to the Dream Spark website below and register using their academic email address. After checking the validity of the address Dream Spark will allow the student to create their own password and then log in. The accounts that are created for students that enable downloading expire at the end of each semester
Instructions for downloading and installing are at the Dream Spark website. The CCAC administrator for Dream Spark and the Help Desk do not provide technical assistance for downloading and installing. This is the responsibility of the student.
The Dream Spark website for sign-in is: https://msdn.e-academy.com/ccac_cit
