Need help, but not sure where to turn? The Student Support Specialists can provide you with information you need and direct you to the proper source for making your experience at CCAC an enjoyable and successful one.
Early Intervention & Mid-Term Reports
If you are having any academic difficulties, as reported by faculty or mid-term grades, the Student Support Specialists will contact you to help get you back on the right track.
Mentoring
Students who desire additional support through their academic career are encouraged to contact the Student Support Specialist for further guidance and support.
Academic Support Workshops
Various workshops are offered during the academic semester. Some are "Preparing for Nursing School", "Math Review for Drug Calculations" (various different levels), and Math 102 or higher mathematical workshops.
Study Groups
Good study skills are vital to your success in college! To assist you, the Student Support Specialists will facilitate or assist in the formation of a peer study groups for interested students. The groups usually meet at least once a week and provide a great opportunity to learn new study habits and build a peer support system. If you are interested in learning more about study groups and how to benefit the most from a group, contact a Student Support Specialist.
