Allegheny Phi Theta Kappa - Alpha Mu Theta Chapter

The Alpha Mu Theta Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa is the honor society based at Allegheny Campus. It is based on four Hallmarks—Scholarship, Leadership, Fellowship and Service.

Membership is by invitation issued only once each semester with initiation ceremonies in November and April.  The criteria for membership are as follows:

  • Be enrolled at the Allegheny Campus (each campus of CCAC has it's own chapter)
  • Have 18 credits of college level courses earned within the past 7 years, 15 of those credits to have been earned at the Allegheny Campus
  • Have a GPA of 3.50 or better, exclusive of developmental courses
    Be pursuing an Associate of Arts or Associate of Science Degree
  • Have completed courses in at least 3 of these academic areas:  Arts & Humanities, Mathematics, Natural/Physical Sciences, Social/Behavioral Sciences.
