Baseball at CCAC Boyce Campus features two seasons of play, a fall practice season with weekend double headers and a spring NJCAA season with approximately 25 games scheduled. Our field, located on campus, features an excellent grass infield and a spacious outfield with the center field fence measuring 410 feet from home.
Boyce baseball has been in existence since 1971. Bill Holmes is our ninth coach and has compiled 157 victories for the "Saints". Coach Holmes is assisted by Coach Alex Mellon. Highlights of the Boyce program boast one major league player, Chris George who played for the Milwaukee Brewers, NJCAA All-Americans, Rob Shaffer and Robbie Baumgartel, plus no hitters pitched by Joe Lane and Anthony Iorio.
The fall practice season begins shortly after Labor Day and runs into early October with weekday practices and a few informal games played on the weekends.
Spring ball begins indoors in late January with practice in our gymnasium and conditioning in our fitness center. The first games are scheduled for mid-March with the season progressing toward our NJCAA Division III Regional Tournament during the first week of May. The winner of this tournament advances to NJCAA District play or on to the NJCAA Division III National Tournament.
Baseball at CCAC Boyce is exciting for our players and fans, come and be part of the action. Players are permitted to play two spring seasons. Boyce baseball is a hit—catch it!
