Benefit Game for Western Pennsylvania Humane Society

The CCAC North Campus Intercollegiate Ice Hockey Team hosted their fifth annual benefit hockey game on Saturday, December 8, 2012, 7:30 p.m. at the Mt. Lebanon Recreation Center.   This year’s charity event benefitted The Western Pennsylvania Humane Society.  The game was played against California University of Pennsylvania and raised $3,500 for the Humane Society.  Although Cal University beat CCAC by a score of 6-1, a great time was had by all, and the real winners of the event were the animals.

The team officially presented the check to representatives from the Western Pennsylvania Humane Society on Tuesday, February 5, in the CCAC–North Campus Atrium in McCandless, Pa. CCAC–North Campus Dean of Administration Michael Stefanchik; Athletic Director Chuck Bell; Head Coach Marty Palma and several students made the presentation on behalf of the team.

In the past five years, the CCAC–North Campus Intercollegiate Ice Hockey team has raised in excess of $13,500 for local charities.
