Testing Solutions for Online Learning

There are two options available to instructors for testings students in Online Learning Classes.

Option 1: Testing online through Blackboard

• Students take exams and quizzes entirely online with no requirement to come to a CCAC testing center
• Blackboard provides tools necessary for taking exams and quizzes

Option 2: Using a proctored environment for testing

• Students take exams in a CCAC proctored testing environment or a non CCAC proctored testing environment
• Proctors provide students with printed exams or passwords for online exams
• Proctors monitor the testing environment of the student

CCAC offers a testing center at the Allegheny Campus.

Proctoring Information

Online Learning Students can come from anywhere in the world.  As such, it is not always possible for students to come to CCAC's testing center.

The instructor must decide whether they want to be a part of the proctoring process or if they would rather have the Online Learning Center handle the process.
