Richard “Rick” Adams has served in numerous capacities during his 23 years with CCAC, including assistant to the executive dean, South campus; acting assistant to the president; public information officer; assistant dean, Homewood-Brushton center; assistant dean of recruitment and outreach and assistant dean of multi-cultural affairs. Most recently, he was the director for college and community diversity initiatives.

Rick is a lifelong resident of Pittsburgh’s East End. A graduate of Westinghouse High School, he received a BA from Bowdoin College with a double major in Government and Afro-American Studies and earned a MA in Business Communications from Jones International University.

Rick is a member of the executive committee of The Institute of the Black World 21^st Century (IBW) and an associate member of the National Association of Diversity Officers in Higher Education (NADOHE). His commitment to community service includes serving as a member of the Pittsburgh Human Relations Commission and as an elected member of the Pittsburgh School Board. He has also been a radio talk show host for over eight years.
