Employee Tuition Benefits

Employees Covered Under AFT or SEIU Contract:

To qualify for tuition reimbursement or waiver, your employment status must be regular full-time or regular part-time and be covered by the AFT Collective Bargaining Agreement or SEIU Collective Bargaining Agreement. For more information, please refer to your most current contract:

Administrative/Excluded Employees:

To qualify for tuition reimbursement or waiver, your employment status must be regular full-time or regular part-time and be covered by Administrative Policy 5.10.32 and 5.10.33

The following tuition benefit forms are available online:

  1. ADMIN/EXCL Reimbursement (external)
  2. ADMIN/EXCL Waiver (CCAC courses)

Adjunct Credit Teaching Faculty:

Credit adjunct faculty members are now able to enroll in up to two regularly scheduled credit courses at CCAC without payment of tuition. 

With this new policy, credit courses may be taken for credit (graded) or audit (non-graded) when space is available. Adjunct faculty will be responsible for all course-related fees (including college fees), as well as textbooks, supplies, and course materials. The waiver of tuition does not apply to repeated courses.

To qualify for free tuition, each credit adjunct faculty must:

  1. Complete all course pre-requisites as identified in the CCAC catalog.
  2. Must have a current teaching assignment in the same semester in which they register for a course.
  3. Must have taught a credit course at CCAC for a minimum of two academic semesters (does not have to be in succession).
  4. Obtain Campus Academic Dean’s approval.

Temporary Part-Time Staff:

Temporary part-time staff members are now able to enroll in up to two regularly scheduled credit courses at CCAC without payment of tuition. 

With this new policy, credit courses may be taken for credit (graded) or audit (non-graded) when space is available. Temporary part-time staff will be responsible for all course-related fees (including college fees), as well as textbooks, supplies, and course materials. The waiver of tuition does not apply to repeated courses.

To qualify for free tuition, each temporary part-time staff member must:

  1. Complete all course pre-requisites as identified in the CCAC catalog.
  2. Must have worked 500 hours in the immediately-preceding 12-month period.
  3. Obtain Supervising Administrator’s approval.
