
Honorable Charles J. Martoni, PhD has been an adjunct faculty member at CCAC for 35 years and previously served the college as interim vice president of Boyce campus as well as a director of financial aid and counseling. Most recently, he served as dean of Student Development at Boyce campus. He has been recognized as an outstanding teacher of the year and has been honored by the CCAC Educational Foundation as a legendary faculty/staff/administrator. He was appointed campus president–Boyce campus and Braddock Hills center in July 2008.
Dr. Martoni holds a doctorate in higher education from the University of Pittsburgh. He holds a master’s degree in history from California University and master’s degrees in school administration and counseling from Duquesne University. He earned a bachelor’s degree in education from California University and holds two associate’s degrees in liberal arts and criminal justice from CCAC.
Regionally, Dr. Martoni serves the community as the District 8 representative to Allegheny County Council and vice president of Allegheny County Council. His 38 years of service include elected governing offices ranging from school board, Swissvale Borough mayor as well as board membership on numerous regional boards.
