What is Early Intervention (EI)?
CCAC’s Online Early Intervention is a web based system that allows faculty members to refer students for academic support. If you are referred for Early Intervention, your instructor feels that you would benefit from additional resources which will lead to your academic success. This might include tutoring assistance, childcare information or counseling support.
How does it work?
You will receive a phone call, e-mail and/or postcard from a member of the Student Support Staff. These staff members will assist you in directing you to resources which will support your academic success. This may entail directing you to tutors, finding out ways to reduce your part-time work so that you have more time to spend on your studies or assisting you with finding out childcare information while you are in class. Our goal is to provide you with a College service that will assist you in your academic success.
Why is Early Intervention Important for you?
Early Intervention is designed to help you succeed by getting better grades and graduating. It’s not designed to be punitive or judgmental–Early Intervention referrals do not appear on your transcript or affect your financial aid.
CCAC is excited to offer students a new online service, Student Lingo, where students can access interactive on-demand video workshops, action plans, and valuable resources designed to promote success in all areas of life.
