PITTSBURGH—The Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC) South campus Theatre presents “Mr. Marmalade” by Noah Haidle at 8 p.m. Nov. 12 to 14 and Nov. 18 to 21 in Room B-434, 1750 Clairton Road (Route 885), West Mifflin, 15122. All shows are $5 general admission and free for CCAC students and employees. Due to strong language and violence, the play is not recommended for individuals under age 17.
Haidle’s play, directed by Ben Blazer, is a savage black comedy about the role we all play in the daily influence of the young imaginations around us. Lucy is a four-year-old girl with a very active imagination. Unfortunately, her imaginary friend Mr. Marmalade doesn't have much time for her—not to mention that he has a cocaine addiction and a penchant for pornography and beats up his personal assistant. Larry, her only real friend, is the youngest suicide attempt in the history of New Jersey. Come and join Lucy as she finds out what it takes to grow up in these difficult times.
The performance stars CCAC students Sami Leddi, Chai Roka, Matt Dorman, Stanley T. Graham, Tielle DiCaprio, Izzy Tatton, Davey Laus, Bobby Sasser and Ryan Pennington. It is produced by George Jaber.
