The Bio-remediation certificate program is designed to meet the needs for skilled workers in the bio-remediation industry. It provides training for the technical skills necessary to operate the equipment and oversee the process of treating waste water from mining shale and converting it to an environmentally safe product. Much of the work is done outdoors, requiring a certain level of physical fitness. Career paths include bio-remediation technician, environmental waste specialist, environmental science technician and waste water technician.
