02/15/2011 -- CCAC Washington County Center offers workshop for veterans

PITTSBURGH—The Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC)–Washington County Crown Center will hold a workshop geared toward veterans on Friday, March 18. Participating veterans will be able to network and receive information regarding:

  • CCAC courses and programs
  • GI bill, grants and other educational benefits
  • Training opportunities (Roustabout and Mechatronics)
  • PA CareerLink services
  • PA, WV, Federal and U.S. Postal Civil Service
  • PA and county benefits
  • Veterans Administration medical care and disability claims
  • PA Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR) services

The workshop will be held from 9:00 a.m.–11:30 a.m. at the Washington Crown Center Mall, 1500 West Chestnut Street, Washington, PA 15301. Seating is limited. To confirm attendance please contact Dave Sims, Veterans Employment Representative, at 724.223.4509 or  R.S.V.P. by Friday, March 11.
