PITTSBURGH—The Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC) South Campus will host Relay for Life from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm April 30 in the campus gymnasium, 1750 Clairton Road (Route 885), West Mifflin. Athletic teams, clubs and other groups from the college and community are encouraged to form teams and participate in the event.

Relay for Life invites the community to create relay teams that donate funds to the American Cancer Society. The teams walk/run together in the event, and special acknowledgements are made to participating cancer survivors and to those who have died from the disease.

The event also asks participants to make a personal commitment to fighting against cancer. This event is sponsored by the American Cancer Society and the student organization “Stand up to Cancer.”

Teams are asked to donate what they can afford when they register their teams. Team sponsorships are encouraged to increase donations to the American Cancer Society. Donations will be collected on the day of the event.
