Contact an advisor for meeting times. The South Campus Relay for Life is Slated to be held in the Gymnasium on May 1st, 2013.
Stand up to Cancer was officially recognized at South Campus on November 29, 2010. The group strives to do the following things:
- Bring Cancer control programs to campus and promote cancer awareness and prevention.
- Raise money through the American Cancer Society approved fundraisers on campus such as Relay for Life.
- Make stand up to cancer a collaborative effort among all students and student organizations. on campus, as well as between the local American Cancer Society office and staff, nearby chapters and the national leadership council.
On Saturday April 30, 2011, Stand up to Cancer had their inaugural event, the South Campus Relay for Life, which raised $750 to help fight cancer!
