PITTSBURGH—Due to water damage sustained when a sprinkler system pipe broke in the Foerster Student Service Center (FSSC) on the Community College of Allegheny County’s (CCAC) Allegheny Campus yesterday early afternoon, some student services will be temporarily relocated to other buildings on the campus until further notice. Despite the damage primarily to the first and second floors of the FSSC building, students will have access to all student services.
The FSSC will be open for third floor access only—this includes access to classrooms, faculty offices, the Biology Department and the Dean of Student Development. Cafeteria service will be restored Tuesday, January 29.
The following areas are affected:
Registration & Advisement—These services will take place in Cougar’s Den in the basement of West Hall, located at the intersection of Rope and Ridge Avenues.
Student Accounts—Students should report to the Business office on the third floor of Jones Hall, located on Ridge Avenue.
General & Other Questions—CCAC staff members will be available on the first floor of Jones Hall to assist students with questions they may have and will direct students to the appropriate locations/personnel.
Homewood-Brushton Center—CCAC will have additional staff members on hand for students who wish to register at Homewood Brushton-Center.
CCAC–Allegheny Campus is located at 808 Ridge Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15212. The Homewood-Brushton Center is located at 701 North Homewood Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15208.
