CCAC Leader College Status

Leader College designation means that CCAC has committed to improving student success and equity and has demonstrated measurable gains on important student success metrics over a three-year period. CCAC has demonstrated commitment to the four principles of Achieving the Dream:

CCAC has increased the percentage of students completing developmental reading coursework by the second year from 37.8% for the 2005 cohort to 46.7% for the 2009 cohort. CCAC has also increased the percentage of students completing all developmental coursework in two years from 27.3% in 2005 to 35.4% in 2009. These improvements are associated with a variety of ATD interventions including Early Intervention, elimination of "D" as a passing grade, and eliminating late registration. CCAC students continue to improve from the college’s commitment to use of evidence, broad engagement and systematic institutional improvement.
