
The Community College of Allegheny County Federal Government Relations office is the federal advocacy arm of the college. The office maintains a presence in Washington, DC, by providing federal legislators and their staffs information and meeting opportunities to keep them regularly up-to-date with college and student accomplishments as well as college opportunities and needs. It monitors and evaluates proposed legislation for potential impact to the college and leads the federal advocacy strategy of the college. Federal Government relations also coordinates student and faculty outreach efforts concerning federal legislators or policy makers, as it serves as the institutional point of contact for federal and departmental representatives and their staffs.
