PITTSBURGH— Ajani Ogbonna, point guard for the Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC) Allegheny Campus men’s basketball team, has been selected as a member of the third team of the 2011–2012 National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) All-American Basketball Team. Ogbonna led this year’s CCAC team and the nation in scoring, averaging 26.917 points per game.
This is the fourth year in a row that CCAC–Allegheny Campus has had a player named to the All-American Team. Ogbonna, a General Studies major from Homewood now in his second year at CCAC, holds the school record of single highest points scored in a game, putting up 55 points against Potomac State College of West Virginia University during a game played on February 15 of this year. This year’s CCAC–Allegheny Campus team finished with a record of 18–10.
