PITTSBURGH— Eric Poplowski, a Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC) North Campus student and member of its golf team, finished second at the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II Region XX Golf Championship held at Pittsburgh North Golf Club on May 4–6. 

A first-year team member, Poplowski shot a two-day total of 153, finishing one stroke off of the lead. This qualifies him to compete at the National Championship to be held at the Swan Lake Resort in Plymouth, IN, on May 22–25. A resident of Ambridge, Poplowski is majoring in Business Management at CCAC–North Campus.
