10/08/2012 -- CCAC–North Campus golfers finish 1st, 2nd and 4th at Western Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference Championship

PITTSBURGH—Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC)–North Campus golfer Eric Poplowski of Ambridge won the Western Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference Championship September 28 and 29 at the Links at Spring Church in Apollo, Pa. Teammates Ben Kennedy of Sewickley and Paul Ajak of O’Hara Township finished second and fourth, respectively. All three players have been named to the Western Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference All-Tournament First Team.  

Following two days of regulation play, Poplowski and Kennedy finished tied for first place with each player shooting a two-day total of 153. In the end, Poplowski beat Kennedy with a birdie on the second playoff hole to win first-place honors.
