While visiting Pittsburgh as part of One Young World, two students from the United Kingdom toured CCAC–Allegheny Campus for an overview of facilities, program offerings and student activities. Tom Skipper & Claire Woodhams, students at North Hertfordshire College, visited the campus on Monday, Oct. 22. With the assistance of the CCAC–Allegheny Campus Student Life office, the students explored the Music department, Child Development Center and Library, as well as the Physical Education building, Milton Hall and Jones Hall. The visiting students had the opportunity to participate in question-and-answer sessions with deans, directors and students. They also learned about student-run clubs and experienced student fundraising firsthand by attending a bake sale sponsored by the Anime and Video Game club. Nearly 1,300 delegates from more than 180 countries attended One Young World, held Oct. 18–22 in various locations throughout the city. |
