PITTSBURGH—Beginning this month and running through June, the Community College of Allegheny County South Campus is hosting a series of free information sessions designed to highlight specific programs and answer questions regarding enrollment. Individuals will have the opportunity to tour facilities, meet faculty and staff and learn more about program offerings.

Upcoming sessions include:

Nursing/Medical Lab Technician
6:00PM, Wednesday, February 12, South Campus, Room L458
CCAC is one of the nation’s leading producers of graduates with associate degrees in the health professions. Individuals will have the opportunity to meet faculty members and tour CCAC South Campus’ health professions labs.

Theater/Technical Theatre
6:00PM, Thursday, March 6, South Campus, Room A408
CCAC Theatre programs prepare students for transfer into a four-year institution or entry into the performing arts field. CCAC’s Technical Theatre program focuses on theatrical terminology, scenic design, stage lighting and set construction. This information session includes an 8:00 p.m. performance of Tim O’Brien’s novel, The Things They Carried, and a tour of the theatre facilities.

This session offers prospective students the opportunity to ask and get answers on a wide range of topics about CCAC, the admissions process, financial aid, academic programs and college life.

Engineering

CCAC STEM programs prepare students for entry-level employment in bio-remediation, biotechnology, computer and information technology, electronics, engineering, computer-aided drafting, manufacturing and software design. Individuals will have the opportunity to tour engineering labs and meet faculty and staff.

Athletics

CCAC’s South Campus offers five NJCAA athletic teams that promote teamwork, academic excellence and leadership. Individuals will have the opportunity to learn about how participation can enrich the college experience and open doors to opportunities at four-year institutions.

Washington County Center
5:00PM, Wednesday, April 9, Washington County Center, 1500 West Chestnut Street (Washington Crown Center)
CCAC’s Washington County Center offers local residents affordable and accessible higher education opportunities. The center offers courses in the following disciplines: Liberal Arts, Business and Criminal Justice.
