02/17/2014 -- CCAC men’s basketball team takes conference title, coach of the year award honors

PITTSBURGH—The Community College of Allegheny County Allegheny Campus men’s basketball team is the Western Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference champion after the team beat Penn Highlands 94–81 on February 16. Additionally, in his first year in the position, Head Coach Robert “Bobby” Keslar was named Coach of the Year.

It is the first time in 20 years the Allegheny Cougars have won the WPCC title. During the game, five CCAC players scored in the double digits with Guard DeAundre Epperson of Homewood leading the scoring with 24 points. CCAC Guard Embry “Breeze” Williams of the Hill District was next with 19 points and ranks #2 in the nation on the NJCAA list for most points scored.    

The CCAC Cougars are next headed to Largo, Maryland, to compete in the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III Region XX Tournament where they will take on Prince George’s Community College this weekend.
