The Community College of Allegheny County provides a supportive and transformative learning environment that prepares graduates to meet critical needs in the region’s workforce.
At CCAC, we believe that life outside the classroom is an important part of your college experience. Each CCAC campus has a variety of activities to enhance your lifestyle – including athletics, cultural events and personal development seminars.
The CCAC Educational
Foundation is the fundraising and benefactor arm of the college. It seeks to
create vital connections between the college and the wider community
to ensure the ongoing viability of the college.
Important Tax Information The Taxpayer Relief Act of 1997 (TRA-97) introduced several educational tax incentives in an effort to make college more affordable. The American Opportunity Credit and Lifetime Learning Credit provide a potential opportunity to take a tax credit for qualifying educational expenses. TRA-97 also provides a deduction for the interest paid on qualifying student loans. As part of TRA-97 and in accordance with Internal Revenue Code, the college is required to furnish you with IRS Form 1098-T (tuition statement) reporting qualified tuition and certain financial aid information. Regulations require that 1098T forms are issued to students by January 31 of each calendar year.
**IMPORTANT NOTICE**Due to a change to institutional reporting requirements under
federal law, beginning with tax year 2018, CCAC will now report in
Box 1 the amount of qualified tuition and related expenses (QTRE)
paid during the calendar year. Prior to 2018,
CCAC reported qualified tuition and related expenses
billed to a student account. Students requiring
detailed payment information can obtain an itemized student account
statement through the Online Student Account
