PITTSBURGH—Community College of Allegheny County North Campus student athletes will assist the Woodlands Foundation with a runway show for foundation program participants on Saturday, January 30, at 5:00 p.m. at the Woodlands Foundation Activities Center, located at 134 Shenot Road, Wexford, Pa., 15090.
The 13 CCAC students involved in the community service project are members of the North Campus basketball, cross-country, golf and ice hockey teams. Female athletes will assist the participants with hair and makeup preparations, while the male athletes will assist with event set up and will escort the girls, ages seven to 15, on the runway.
The MC for the evening will be Amy Marcinkiewicz of WPXI Channel 11 News, and the event will include special guest Miss Wheelchair America 2012, Josie Badger. A reception will follow the show. The event is free and open to the public, and reservations are not required.
