PITTSBURGH—The Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC) and the Mary Miller Dance Company are partnering to provide a series of free dance therapy classes to residents at each of the four Kane Regional Centers. Funding for the program is being provided by the Edith L. Tree Charitable Trust.

The classes, which run throughout March and April, combine creative movement, modern dance and psychomotor therapy to improve physical strength, cognition and self-confidence. In order to enhance the overall experience, the classes are facilitated by professional dancers and musicians. This is in keeping with the Kane Center’s goal of keeping residents physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually active.
