PITTSBURGH—The Community College of Allegheny County Allegheny Campus Student Nurses Association of Pennsylvania (SNAP) Club will host their second annual Picnic with Healthcare Options, Saturday, June 7 from 12:00 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. in Cedar Park located on Pittsburgh’s North Side, adjacent to Allegheny General Hospital’s ER department. The event is aimed at helping the area’s homeless and others obtain free healthcare, safety and prevention information, including blood pressure and diabetes screenings. Other participating organizations include Allegheny General Hospital, Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC and the Light of Life Rescue Mission.

In addition to the free health information and screening, CCAC student nurses will provide and serve a picnic lunch for all participants. Participants will enjoy hamburgers and hot dogs with CCAC nursing students, faculty and alumni donating all the salads, side dishes and desserts.
