PITTSBURGH—The
Community College of Allegheny County will host enrollment open houses at all
eight of its locations on Wednesday, October 26, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. for
prospective students and their families.
Individuals who
bring their high school diploma, GED or college transcripts can complete their
CCAC registration in one day. Attendees can take placement tests, meet with an
advisor and learn about CCAC’s program offerings in the arts and humanities;
business; education, social and behavioral sciences and human services; health;
science, technology, engineering and mathematics; and the skilled trades. CCAC
staff will be on hand to answer questions about admissions and enrollment
procedures, financial aid options, transfer and career opportunities and
college services, sports, clubs and other activities.
Attendees
will learn about:
- Associate
degree, certificate & diploma programs
- Programs
designed to facilitate easy transfer to four-year colleges & universities
- In-demand
careers that offer strong wages & career growth
- Scholarships,
grants & financial aid opportunities
- Day,
evening, weekend & online courses
CCAC
personnel will also conduct tours of the facilities for interested students and
their families. All CCAC open house locations are open to the media, including
