High school students, parents, community members and local businesses invited to participate
PITTSBURGH-Community College of Allegheny County's West Hills
Center is inviting high school students, parents, community members
and local businesses to Manufacturing Day 2017 on
Wednesday, October 25, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Manufacturing Day is an international event where
thousands of businesses and schools across North America celebrate
modern manufacturing and inspire the next generation of
manufacturers.
Attendees will have the opportunity to take guided facility
tours, participate in hands-on mechatronics and welding
demonstrations, learn about educational opportunities that offer an
edge in a competitive market, and engage college and business
leaders in a discussion about manufacturing careers.
CCAC's Workforce Development division will also hold interactive
demonstrations in the afternoon to enable representatives from
local industries to see firsthand how the division can provide
advanced training opportunities for companies and employees.
Reservations are encouraged, particularly for large groups, but
