PITTSBURGH-Community College of Allegheny County's Honors Program will present Around the World in 80 Talents, a multicultural talent show, on Wednesday, October 18, at 6:00 p.m. in the CCAC South Campus auditorium. All proceeds will be applied to travel costs for 16 CCAC Honors students to undertake a study tour in India from January 2 to 13.

CCAC students, faculty, staff and friends will showcase their talents through a variety of dance genres, including Bollywood, Ethiopian, classical Indian, Scottish Highlands, 1970s African-American and belly-dancing. Other performances will include a gymnastics routine, Nepali songs performed by members of the local Nepali community, a Swahili courtship song, guitar, ukulele and vocals-and much more.

Tickets for the show are $5 in advance, $7 at the door. Advance tickets are available at central locations on each campus or from the campus Honors program offices.

Honors students who will be traveling to India will be accepting donations at the show for The Tibetan Children's Village and Swami Sivananda Memorial Institute-two nongovernmental organizations for which they will be performing service projects while in the country. This will be the second time the Honors program has embarked on a study tour abroad-a trip to India in January 2016 was a transformative experience for the students, one of whom was able to return to India and meet the Dalai Lama as a result.
