CCAC South Campus student selected as Achieving the Dream 2017 DREAM Scholar
PITTSBURGH—Community College of Allegheny County South Campus student RyKai Wright has been selected as an Achieving the Dream (ATD) 2017 DREAM Scholar. As such, she will have the opportunity to participate in a unique learning and professional development experience culminating at the ATD annual DREAM conference on student success, February 21–24 at the Hilton San Francisco Union Square Hotel. There, she will engage with 2,000 other community college leaders, all of whom will be working in tandem to bring about powerful change for student success.
Wright, of Munhall, is a CCAC Honors Program student and serves as an Honors Program ambassador. She is majoring in Engineering Technology—Mechanical at CCAC South Campus and will graduate in the spring of 2017 with an Associate of Science before transferring to a four-year university in the fall to pursue her bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. The Steel Valley High School graduate is also an intern with Best of the Batch Foundation, where she helps with the foundation’s inventory, programs and events.
