PITTSBURGH-The Community College of
Allegheny County is expanding its evening, weekend and online class
offerings to give students the benefit of a flexible schedule that
fits with their lifestyle. Ideal for individuals who have jobs or
juggle busy family routines, the classes enable students to further
their educational goals on their own time.
Students also receive a full array
of academic services to help them succeed. Online features such as
tutoring, class scheduling and instructor-led discussions help
students reach their goals. With the college's evening and weekend
office hours, face-to-face help is also available.
Certificates can be completed in a
few semesters and are available in a variety of program areas for
individuals who want to upgrade their skills or pursue a new
passion. For degree-seeking students, CCAC credits also transfer-in
fact, CCAC students have transferred to more than 500 colleges and
universities. Advisors are available to help transfer students
develop a plan that ensures their entrance into a four-year college
or university as a junior.
