PITTSBURGH—The Community College of Allegheny County, in response to the sudden closure of all ITT Educational Services technical schools, is working to accommodate ITT Technical Institute students to enable them to complete their educational and career goals. To that end, the college is providing orientation/information sessions for former ITT students at CCAC Allegheny Campus on the North Side and CCAC West Hills Center in Oakdale.

The Allegheny Campus sessions will be held in the Foerster Student Services Center on Thursday, September 15, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and on Tuesday, September 20, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The West Hills Center sessions will be held on Tuesday, September 13, Wednesday, September 21, and Tuesday, October 4. All sessions at West Hills Center will take place from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in rooms S1308 and S1305.

In addition, former ITT students can meet with an advisor at any CCAC campus or center to review and discuss their educational and career goals.

CCAC’s action follows news that ITT, a for-profit college chain with locations in Frazer and Robinson townships, announced the immediate closure of all 130 campuses across the country.

Students who are interested in pursuing a CCAC education should call the Admissions offices at Allegheny Campus: 412.237.2511; or North Campus: 412.369.3600.
