PITTSBURGH—Community College of Allegheny County is joining today with community colleges around the country in launching the Heads Up campaign, a national grassroots movement designed to rally support for President Obama’s America’s College Promise proposal, which calls for making two years of a community college education free to responsible students.

CCAC has created a declaration of support for individuals to register their endorsement of this proposal. In addition, CCAC will join hundreds of community colleges across the nation taking part in a national week of action scheduled for the week of October 26. Events are currently being planned on each of the college’s campuses that will spread the word about the value and positive impact of community colleges on the future of America. Further details will be shared in the coming weeks.
