Safety and Security at Allegheny Campus
Allegheny Campus
Located on Pittsburgh's North Shore and surrounded by PNC Park, West Park and Heinz
Field, CCAC's Allegheny Campus provides academic programs in many disciplines and
dozens of continuing education classes.
The center of activity the campus is the Foerster Student Services Center. The 52,000-square-foot
campus hub unites under one roof essential services such as enrollment and financial
aid, and includes classrooms, dining facilities, a large, computer lab and a 264-seat
theatre/auditorium.

The Ridge Avenue entrance of the newly renovated Physical Education building leads
to a Starbucks on the left and an expanded college bookstore on the right. The Cougar
s Den student lounge is located in a bright and airy space on the second floor. The
science and technology laboratories in the K. Leroy Irvis Science Center feature the
most advanced technologies available, including cutting-edge teaching tools and equipment.
They are fully equipped with e-learning capabilities, advanced lab apparatuses and
instrumentation with interfaces for computer assistance in real-time data acquisition.
The Allegheny Campus also features a first-rate library with renovated lecture halls,
physical education facilities that include a new fitness center and a gymnasium with
a new playing surface, and Milton Hall, the main campus classroom building.
In the historic Ridge Avenue and Galveston Street areas are West Hall, housing a brand
new Cultural & Fine Arts Center; Jones Hall, the general administration building;
and Byers Hall. The Homewood-Brushton Center in the city's East End is also part of
the Allegheny Campus.

TRIO Student Support Services

TRIO/SSS is a federally funded support program with a mission to help students succeed
in college; to persist to graduation and/or transfer to a four-year institution. Here
at CCAC, TRIO/SSS provides resources and services customized to fostering student
success. The ultimate goal of the program is to increase the college retention and
graduation rates of its participants.
