CCAC is committed to providing interesting events that enhance the academic experience. Students can take advantage of the many on-campus clubs and organizations, lectures, service projects and cultural events. Intramural and recreational programs and the varsity athletic teams also provide a range of events for CCAC community's enjoyment.
Celebrate your success at CCAC's annual commencement event where CCAC graduates receive their hard earned degrees. Commencement is held in May at the Petersen Events Center in Oakland. The Nursing Pinning Ceremony takes place in the afternoon before the CCAC commencement ceremony. It is always a joyous and exciting event honoring our students in with family and friends as they mark the beginning of the next chapter of their lives.
CCAC’s Open House provides the perfect opportunity to learn all you ever wanted to know about the educational options at CCAC, career and transfer programs, emerging careers, financial aid and scholarships, campus facilities, and student-centered services and more. Meet faculty, staff and current students and take a tour of the facilities.
Every year, Dr. Bullock accompanies a group of students and college staff to join forces with members of the state’s other 13 community colleges at the State Capitol in Harrisburg to rally support for funding of the state’s support of Pennsylvania's community colleges. Outstanding CCAC students are honored as part of the All-Pennsylvania Academic Team at an awards banquet as well.
Pittsburgh Labor & Management Past & Future: A Labor-Management Discussion embodies a series of two to three-hour interactive sessions designed to enhance the understanding and recognition of the large role labor unions and labor relations have played in forming our great region.
The One College, One Community Reads! program is a fantastic college-wide event inviting all of the CCAC family to read a compelling book that connects people in a common conversation. Readers are invited to take part in a community-wide dialogue meant to encourage life-long learning and to develop stronger bonds within our learning community.
