

CCAC's Military & Veterans Services provides personalized and caring support to CCAC student veterans during their transition from military service to college life. We help our veterans navigate CCAC and provide assistance with VA educational benefits, as well as give veteran students the tools to succeed academically and personally. We value the skills, assets and experiences veterans bring to the CCAC community, and are committed to helping them achieve to their educational goals. Veterans Services also increases campus awareness of student veteran issues, advises the student veterans club and fosters a sense of camaraderie, community and well-being for all student veterans on campus. In accordance with the new House Bill S.3503 signed by the President and guidance from the VA Regional office, students using the Post 9/11(CH 33) benefit can still receive the residential housing monthly allowance if the residential courses have been converted to remote learning due to COVID-19. To receive the residential monthly allowance housing amount, student using this benefit will need to be enroll in one or more residential course(s). A way to make sure that the course is a residential course is to look at the section number of the course. If the section number starts with a “Z”, it is an established online course which would be certified as “Distance Learning”.
