The Manufacturing Technology degree program enables students to acquire high-level technology manufacturing skills in the areas of robotic controls, machining, welding or nanofabrication (precision fabrication). Students will learn about manufacturing processes, control systems, measurement theory and quality, with courses emphasizing teamwork and projects involving real-world industry problems. Students must choose one of the following fields of study: Robotic Controls, Machining, Welding or Nanofabrication.
The Machine Technician certificate program offers students the opportunity to acquire the basic machine skills of turning, milling and grinding that are needed to gain entry-level positions in the machine and manufacturing industry. Students will work in a project-oriented environment with emphasis on precision, quality and the development of solid work skills.
