The Knowledge Behind the Care
Continuing education and mandatory programming is essential to keeping knowledge levels current. As a front line manager the responsibility to ensure this may be yours. Courses are designed to fit your needs and offered at times convenient for your staff. Programming is most often held on site for your employees' convenience and can also be scheduled on one of our campuses close to you.
Additionally, we offer customized programming to fit your specific needs and department requirements. Classes can be offered any day of the week and on all shifts.
Workforce Training has a faculty of more than 50 highly qualified instructors. Collectively they bring years of expertise into the classroom. Instructors for many of the training sessions are RN's preparing for a Master's degree or are already Master's prepared. They come to instruct with a vast amount of experience in healthcare, staff education, nursing education, combined with acute and long-term care clinical experience.
Nurse Aide Training students receive training from RN and LPN instructors both in the classroom and clinically.
Health IT Initiative Grants!The Pittsburgh Life Sciences Greenhouse through its HIT initiative, Health IT Pittsburgh, and in conjunction with the CCAC and Partners4Work, is offering an innovative training course. This approachable 20-week course gives students basic skills and broad exposure to medical terminology and healthcare statistics; providing you with an entry level Health IT skill set, or increasing your skill set allowing upward mobility.
Upon Course Completion, a ‘course certificate’ will be issued to graduates by the CCAC.
