CCAC Honors students representing 40 programs were celebrated on Friday, April 21, during the annual Honors Forum. Professor Srujana Kanjula, CCAC Honors Program director, Dr. Quintin Bullock, CCAC president, and Honors faculty spoke at the event. CCAC leadership, staff and family members watched as the students were presented with their Honors pins and medallions. Of the 94 Honors program students in the Class of 2023, 43 students earned the credits to receive Honors card/pin recognition. Eleven students received Honors medallions and will graduate with an Honors degree during CCAC’s May 18th commencement ceremony.
The Honors Program at CCAC provides an academically challenging and enriching learning experience for highly motivated, academically prepared and intellectually curious students. The program is designed to nurture the development of global citizens through collaborative and active learning; independent investigation; cultural enrichment and sensitivity; creative and critical thought; leadership development; and service to others.
Students in Honors engage in academic enrichments that provide depth and breadth of understanding and application of knowledge. An Honors education fosters excellence, encouraging students to provide direction to their own learning. Honors courses and Honors contract projects undertaken with mentoring faculty provide enriched, personal learning experiences.
