About Workforce Development
CCAC's Workforce Development provides training in the region's changing and emerging industries. Programs are designed around the skills and knowledge that students need for employment and employers need for their workers to have to remain competitive.
What Type of Program Are You Looking For?
New Wastewater Treatment Operator Program
This 180-hour program prepares students for entry-level positions in wastewater collection and treatment systems. It focuses on the practical aspects of operating and maintaining these systems, emphasizing safe practices and procedures. Classes will be held from 6 to 9 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The class will end on April 21st, 2026. This program will qualify the learner for a CCAC certificate of completion with continuing education units (CEUs) for the operation of wastewater treatment plant components and equipment.
- Automatic enrollment in the PA DEP wastewater exam held on campus
- PA DEP wastewater test preparation 180 hours of hands-on training and classroom instruction
- DEP Continuing Education requirements
- Site tours at a Wastewater Treatment Plant
The program begins October 14th, please register by October 10th to enroll.
