HIStory? No, HERstory!
American History Through Women's Eyes
Are you interested in exploring the history of women in society, with a special emphasis on the United States? Then this course is for you!
Women’s history tells the story of our nation’s past from a wider perspective. It doesn’t rewrite history. Instead, it expands the focus of history. It includes the activities and contributions of women from all walks of life, from different eras and from different backgrounds.
In this course, you will explore society’s ideas about women and the conditions of women throughout history. With a focus on the history of women in the United States, you will study how women have responded to social and political problems. You will also learn about the evolution of women’s rights and how this has impacted American society.
