I won a NISOD award some years ago and I stood on the stage at CCAC with two other faculty members and award recipients. One of the faculty members was Patsy Williamson, who was also my first college English teacher when I was a CCAC student in the 1990s. Professor Williamson is a huge reason I pursued a master's degree in English and became a teacher, myself. The other faculty member on the stage was my math teacher from my college years. It was joyful to go full circle in this way.
Semester after semester, I have the best students in the world, and I enjoy my work immensely. I get to share my passions with my students and I get to learn from them, as well.
Everyone knows everything about me. :)
