Biography
Dr. Candace Murray has over 15 years of higher education experience, working with learners from all backgrounds and academic spaces. Originally starting in the financial industry, Dr. Murray used her background in qualitative and quantitative research methods to develop data collect and analytical tools to review performance.
While working on her master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), she wanted to get into the teaching space to show her knowledge, psychology, and the various ways psychology is involved in our world and experiences. After her master's was completed, she wanted to be in a position to conduct research on experiences, after successfully defending her dissertation in 2023 allowed her to finally do so.
In 2023, Dr. Murray left the financial industry to pursue teaching, joining the CCAC team in Fall 2023, while teaching courses at Capella University at undergraduate and graduate levels.

Officially being brought on to the adjunct team and getting my first course assignments for PSY-108 during my first semester with CCAC.
I love sharing my experiences and presenting different resources, tools, and ways to understand and learn the many things of psychology. Getting to know my students in each group has been one of my favorite things and seeing how psychology affects them across different degree programs.
I love marine biology, snorkeling, and I am working on being a certified scuba diver.
